The 'Old' and the 'New' have decided to put aside whatever 'differences' that exist about each other's understanding of the Old and the New Testaments as 'afterthought, footnotes and endnotes blah blah' and to come up with an occasional joint colloquy or colloquim (if others wish to join in the friendly discussion).
a topic of interest to both the 'Old' and the 'New' will be offered from where listeners can participate in the discussion or just evesdrop. the 'Old' and the 'New' will provide the necessary input to kick start or get the ball rolling from their side of the perspective of the issue.
both the 'Old' and the 'New' blogs will be cross-linked so that anyone can post on another of the blog. this will make things interesting (if not raise some temperature a degree or higher).
some possible topics for the colloquim will be topics of interest to both sides (e.g. future of biblical studies in malaysia, the relationship between the two testaments, pauline studies from an old testament perspective, the 'jewish' jesus etc) as well as topics from any one side (e.g. the Jesus Debate, the New Paul, James ossuary etc from the 'New' and the Talpiot tomb, DSS etc from the 'Old').
