quiet day at stm

monday 16th june is the first day of the second semester for the seminary. we begin with our usual quiet day where a guest speaker is invited to give a series of devotional talks.

this year, the seminary decided to invite rev wendy ching, academic dean of bible college of malaysia (BCM). as am AOG pastor, who had pioneered two churches in ipoh and gopeng, and now a theological educator, having studied at regent college vancouver, she shared from two psalms on the topic of our confidence and trust in God.

it was a refreshing time for the students as they get back into the proper groove and frame of mind for another 14 weeks of studies, more so for the graduating students in the 3rd year MDiv and 4th year BTh and BD classes.

for the second semester, the reb has his hands full - a 3 credit hour course on OT Introduction, 1 3 credit hour course on Psalms, a 2 credit hour course on Elementary Hebrew and a joint 3 credit hour course on Exegetical Method (with Kar Yong).
