It pains me to know there are still Christians who prefer not to rock the boat, to be submissive to to the govt and think that the Bibles are only ink and paper. So what the big fuss?

Btw, aren't we told to be submissive to our elders as well? Since our bishops (not one)through CFM which represents the leadership of the Malaysian church have spoken out that what has been done tantamount to the desecration of our Scriptures, isn't it our duty to support their stand.
these are the 'bent-backwards' people as i depicted them in my poem. they see it fit to bend backwards to accommodate all the time without critically questioning 'am i obeying God or men?'

unfortunately, because we sometimes choose not to follow our bishops in some decisions, it also means that some people also choose not to follow their bishops now in this stand.

You are right Reb on following our bishops. One of them received a lot of flak just not too long ago. I'm guilty as well though technically I'm not from that denomination.

Even the Sikhs now have come out to support the stand taken by CFM. So do a segment of the Muslim community. Yet there are Christians who don't. Sigh
